Around the Amadorio reservoir.

This varied walk takes us around the Amadorio Reservoir, located between Villajoyosa and Orxeta, inland on the Costa Blanca. Constructed between 1947 and 1957 along the Amadorio Riverbed, the reservoir continues to play a vital role in the irrigation and drinking water supply of Benidorm and Villajoyosa, among other places. The impressive gravity dam is 63 meters high, 318 meters long, and holds almost 16 million cubic meters of water.

Rio Sella.

The route primarily follows footpaths along the water and through forests, although a stretch of paved road is unavoidable. Along the way, we cross the babbling Sella River and are treated to beautiful panoramic views of the Aitana, the Serra d'Orxeta, and the rugged peaks around the Coll de Sacarest.
