The cave of Mançano.
Maserof is a district of Jalón. The first human settlements date back to prehistoric times, such as the Mançano Cave. The Mançano Cave, the Barranc del Mançano Cave or the Tio Mançano Shelter, is an archaeologically valuable cave known for its prehistoric rock paintings. These paintings, which depict human and animal figures, date back to around 7,200 BC and belong to the so-called Levantine art style, especially for the use of the stripe technique, which is around 9,000 years old. An old Roman villa is considered the origin of an Arab farm, later Maserof. The Maserof Winery Museum: in 1980, the Englishman Peter Pateman bought part of Maserof. The farm was converted into a wine museum with the aim of preserving the cultural and historical heritage of the Roman villa. The whole house is a museum, the structure of the house (original from a Roman villa), the bathroom, the kitchen, the beams, the floors, the windows, the doors, as well as the tiles, are original from different periods (from Roman times to the nineteenth century).
