The “Parque natural del Marjal de Pego-Oliva” is the highlight of this walk. Starting at the La Font Salada hot spring, we walk along wide paths through the nature park and between the reed beds, listening to and watching for various bird species. Strolling past the rice fields, we notice the countless sluices and irrigation systems. Information boards with additional details are located everywhere. Apart from the La Muntanyeta Verda viewpoint (open for limited periods), this is a flat walk.

This varied walk starts in the small hamlet of Pinos and takes you on a wide loop through a varied landscape of mountains and forests. Along the way, ascending and descending paths alternate, and you pass numerous dilapidated buildings that give the area a unique character. The route runs along the ridge of the Planisses, past the ruins of the Muy Santa y Noble Ermita de Marnes and the source of the Bernia, and eventually leads via the rugged Barranc de l’Estret to an impressive, deep pothole.

The castle of Alfofra, situated between Benifato and Confrides, is located on the northern slope of the Sierra de Aitana, near Guadalest. Situated at an altitude of 1,100 meters, it is the highest castle in Alicante. In late February, you are treated to the beautiful almond blossoms along the way, coloring the landscape. The impressive view of Guadalest, the Aitana, and Puig Campana is well worth seeing all year round.

Between rugged mountain flanks and forgotten heritage, the Camí de la Bacorera unfolds as a walk full of contrasts. From Aigües, you trek past the abandoned Preventorio and old water channels, remnants of another era. The route climbs through the Sierra del Salmitre to the Cueva de las Dones, treating you along the way to sweeping panoramas stretching as far as Alicante and iconic peaks such as the Peñón de Ifach and Aitana. Finally, via an old ochre mine, you reach the Mirador de la Cara del Moro, where the landscape reveals itself in its entirety one last time.

The Serra de la Solana, also known as La Lloma Llarga, lies on the border of Benissa and Llíber at an altitude of over 600 meters. This challenging ridge hike takes us to its highest point, the Tossalet del Castelet (725 meters), with beautiful views over the Marina Alta landscape. The ridge forms the transition between coast and inland, offering panoramic views of both the mountains and the coast. In the second section, we descend into the valley via forest and rocky paths. On the return journey, we pass the Mirador de Solana, with views stretching from Calpe to the Montgó.

From Jávea, we walk along the harbor and then up a rising path to the La Plana or Les Planes plateau. Above this plateau are the Cap de Sant Antoni lighthouse, the ruins of the old carabinieri barracks, two restored lime kilns, and the famous 11 windmills of La Plana. Along the way, the iconic Montgó remains clearly visible, and in good weather, we can even see Ibiza. The Sierra de Bèrnia, the Migdia, and the Peñón de Ifach (in the distance) are also frequently visible. After a steep descent, we walk the last section on the Camino del Alba, or Way of Dawn, a section of the Camino de Santiago that starts in Jávea.

For this hike, we start just outside Jalón/Xaló and head to the hamlet of Maserof and back. We follow the PR CV 195 for a stretch, walking through forests, orchards, and ravines. We pass L'aljub de la Devesa, an old water tank, the dam of the ravine of la cova negra, and the hamlet of Maserof. Along the way, we can enjoy panoramic views of the Montgó, the Sierra de Bernia, the Ferrer, the Castellet de la Solana, and the Peña de la Mica.

This varied walk takes us around the Amadorio Reservoir, located between Villajoyosa and Orxeta, inland on the Costa Blanca. Constructed between 1947 and 1957 along the Amadorio Riverbed, the reservoir continues to play a vital role in the irrigation and drinking water supply of Benidorm and Villajoyosa, among other places. The impressive gravity dam is 63 meters high, 318 meters long, and holds almost 16 million cubic meters of water.

Cap d'Or

This short walk between Moraira and Cala LLebeig takes you first to the Cap d’Or lookout tower. On clear days you can enjoy the beautiful views over the bay of Moraira, the Peñón de Ifach, l'Albir, the Sierra Aitana and even the coasts of Ibiza. The rest of the walk goes along the top of the rocks, along the sea. There you can enjoy the views of Cala LLebeig and Cap de la Nau. Via the urbanization you walk back to Moraira.

This beautiful walk goes through the nature reserve La Granadella from Cumbro del Sol to the most beautiful bay of the Costa Blanca, the Cala Granadella. We walk through the Martorell and Orxella ravine, to the Teuleria de Dalt, pass the ruins of the fortress of Granadella, old copper mines and the Joanet de golaestreta lime kiln. Along the way, and from the Lloma Aspra and the Mirador de Levante, we enjoy the beautiful views of the bay of Xàbia, Cap de la Nau, the Plana, the iconic Montgó, the tower of Moraira and the Penon of Calp.

Penya El Castellet

This walking route goes to the Penya El Castellet which forms a natural border between the valleys of La Serrella and Seta. Along the way you have fantastic views of the Guadalest Valley, the Guadalest Reservoir and the surrounding mountain ranges. At the top of the Penya de Castellet are the ruins of a Moorish castle, which served as a lookout post over the surrounding valleys.

Penyal Roig

This challenging walk goes from the small village of Murla to the top of the Penyal Roig or Cavall Verd, the Green Horse. The route first passes the hermitage of San Sebastiá and a little further to a cross with beautiful views of Murla. Along the way and at the top you have beautiful views of Xaló, the Gorgos river, the Seguili mountain, the ruins of Castellet, the Segària, the Carrascar, Dénia, the Montgó, the Mediterranean Sea, to Xortà, Serrella and even the Aitana. From the top you descend and walk through orchards, where you can enjoy the spring blossoms in spring, back to Murla.

Castell de les Atzavares

This walk takes you from Campell all the way around the Fontilles domain. On the way you make a very steep climb to the Castell de les Atzavares. This climb is so steep that you use crampons and chains. This can be a problem for walkers with dogs. Then you pass the moli d’isbert, an old water mill, and some old stone refuge huts. On the way back you walk a long way along the wall of from the leprosy sanatorium to then, through the barranc of Fontilles, reach Campell again.

This beautiful walk mainly goes over the plateau of Pla de Seguili. In addition to beautiful nature, the route gives you an insight into traditional rural life from the past. Along the route there are numerous cisterns to see, old rainwater reservoirs and wells. These bear witness to human activity in the area since the Middle Ages and show how inhabitants collected and stored water in this dry terrain. The ruins of old houses and barns that were once used by farmers and shepherds are also not missing.

With the PR-CV 465 as a basis, this adventurous walk has a lot to offer. Via the airstrip of Castell de Castells we go to the top of the Cocoll, at 1,048 meters the second highest mountain in the Marina Alta. From there we walk to the PR-CV 465. This is a circular route through the Almadich ravine and the Ses Cordelleres mountains with highlights along the way: the Penya Blanca fountain, Els Corralls, a cave that served as a sheepfold, through the spectacular Paso del Badall and along the Coveta de las Cabres.

Peña Negra

This walk on the southern slope of the Sierra de Crevillent passes through an arid environment with reddish rock formations from the Triassic period. Furthermore, the Peña Negra site is visited, which is linked to the ancient city of Herna. Information panels provide insight into this ancient Iberian settlement. Along the way you will come to a restored shepherd's hut. These Xosses were built with the so-called dry stone construction technique and have been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Coll de Rates

This walk goes from Parcent via the Camí de les Revoltes to the Coll de Rates. After the plateau Tossal de Polupí you come to the cave Cova de Coloms. You can go back and forth to the Casa de la Neu, a huge ice pit. The 150 extra meters of altitude are definitely worth it. A little further you pass the source Font de la Foia and you walk through the Sierra del Carrascal back to the starting point.

Puig Campana

The walk goes from Finistrat to the top of the Puig Campana at an altitude of 1406 meters, at the top you have a beautiful view to all four cardinal points. This incredible mountain is notable for its peculiar conical shape and also for a huge eroded hole in its upper part. You can shorten the walk to 12 km if you don't go to the top.

The Sierra del Penyal forms a striking mountain ridge between the Vall de Laguar and the Vall d’Ebo in the interior of the province of Alicante. This hike runs along the flanks of this rugged limestone massif and offers beautiful views of the surrounding valleys and mountains. The route passes close to the impressive rock faces of the Penya Roja (also known as the Cavall Verd), but without climbing to the summit. Along the way, you walk through a typical Mediterranean landscape with mountain paths, rocky slopes, and old terraces.

Peñón de Ifach

The Peñón de Ifach is the symbol of the Costa Blanca. This limestone rock is 332 meters high and one kilometer long. The rock is connected to the land by a narrow isthmus, the result of a landslide from the nearby Sierra de Oltà. At the top you have beautiful views over the impressive coastline of the Costa Blanca. You can see for miles, as far as Moraira and on clear days you can even see Ibiza from the top of the Ifach.
