Bonghaar

During this walk, you'll explore a small section of the Fochteloërveen nature reserve, one of the last remaining raised bogs in the Netherlands. The route follows the Bonghaar, a sandy ridge that runs through the raised bog, where you can enjoy the tranquility and vastness of the landscape. Be amazed by the unique peat plants and birds that can be found here.

Alde Feanen

On this diverse route through the It Wikelslân nature reserve, your binoculars will definitely come in handy at one of the many birdwatching huts or from the observation tower. Discover the diversity of De Alde Feanen National Park. The 4,000-hectare lowland peat bog is home to 450 plant species and over 100 breeding bird species, including the white-tailed eagle.

Kollumeroord

This walk in Lauwersmeer National Park introduces you to the beautiful nature of Kollumeroord. The route leads through the Zomerhuisbos forest to the Reiddomp Lookout Tower, from where you have a beautiful view of the Kollumerwaard.

Aekingerzand

This walk in the Drents-Friese Wold National Park leads through forest and heathland to the edge of the Aekingerzand. The Aekingerzand, also known as the Kale Duinen (Bare Dunes), is a beautiful area of sand drifts. Along the way, you might encounter a shepherd with his heathland sheep or see Exmoor ponies grazing.
