Sprokkelspoor

This adventurous hike takes you through the Hart van Drenthe nature reserve in the Drentsche Aa National Park. Along the way, you'll follow winding forest paths through coniferous forests, as well as boardwalks, expansive heathlands, and past several beautiful fens. The route's name refers to the Drenthe wood ant, the "sprokkel" (pronghorn).

Doldersummerveld

This walk takes you through the Doldersummerveld in the Drents-Friese Wold National Park. The Doldersummerveld is a vast, wet heathland reserve situated on the flank of the Vledder and Wapserveensche Aa river valley. The nature reserve is known for its expansive heathlands, which are bright yellow in summer thanks to the flowering bog asphodel and a beautiful purple in autumn thanks to the heather.

Anloërdiepje

This walk in the Drentsche Aa National Park introduces you to the beautiful Anloërdiepje stream valley. Rows of trees extend down to the stream, which flows through the valley like a lifeline. Between them lie meadows like green pastures. Winter fodder for livestock was once harvested here. The pasture landscape still exudes the spirit of medieval farming.

Through the Echtenerzand

In the Echtenerzand nature reserve, the atmosphere of the wild and empty Drenthe can be tasted just like a century ago. This area is part of the Boswachterij Ruinen and is characterized by beautiful views in a setting of old junipers and maritime pines.
