This walk takes you through the Devesa del Saler, the dune and pine forest area between the sea and the lagoon in the Parc Natural de l'Albufera de València, south of the city. From El Saler, you walk along the Estany del Pujol, across the beach, and past the historic Gola de El Pujol, one of the canals connecting the freshwater lagoon to the Mediterranean Sea.

Route description
- From El Saler you set off towards the Estany del Pujol, an artificial lake between the dunes and the pine forest.
- At the viewpoint you enjoy a lovely view over this lake, a favourite resting spot for migratory birds.
- You continue your way to the beach, where you turn right and walk along the coastline for a while.
- At the golf course you turn right again and follow the footpath inland.
- At the T-junction you turn right.
- Several consecutive left turns follow, taking you further along the loop inland.
- Along the way you pass a stretch of the botanical path, with information about the typical dune vegetation.
- You approach the coast again near a spot where fishermen from El Palmar place their fishing gear at the mouth of the gola.
- Shortly after, you reach the Mirador de la Gola de Pujol, a viewpoint over this channel.
- You follow the bank of the Gola de El Pujol, one of the channels connecting the Albufera lagoon to the Mediterranean Sea.
- At the next junction you turn left and pick up the Itinerario histórico de la Gola de El Pujol, a historic walking trail with information boards on the area's biodiversity and fishing traditions.
- Further on you pass another viewpoint over the Gola de El Pujol.
- You return via the same path to El Saler, your starting point.
