gorges of OLHADO AND HOLZARTÉ.
Once out of the village you walk along a wide unpaved road through mainly forest. When you come out of the forest you get a beautiful view of the Olhado gorge and the Holzarté gorge. A little further you arrive at the Uztarbia farm. After a short climb you continue walking along a small path through a beautiful open landscape. You will pass the Croix de Madeleine that was placed in 1886. The inhabitants of Larrau went in procession to the cross to beg for rain. After a small Col there is a steep descent. The route continues past old barns to return to Larrau along the most beautiful part of the walk.

From the unpaved road there is no real view of the gorges. On the left of the road you have to take the old path to go through the meadow to the viewpoint. There are some ferns and brambles.
