This beautiful nature walk explores the surroundings of the picturesque village of Roynac. The route goes through forest to the Crête de la colline de Chevrière with some nice views. Through more open countryside and then forest again, it continues to the ruins of the ancient village of Roynac high above La Valdaine.

La Valdaine.

The route starts from the village and goes on paved roads until the forest where the climb begins to the Crête de la colline de Chevrière. On the ridge you have some nice views. You follow the ridge and then go through an open landscape and forest to the ruins of the old village of Roynac. The church dates from the XI century. It is forbidden to climb the tower. After visiting the ruins you will walk back to the picturesque village.
